Do you ever crave the naughty food but don’t want to be naughty? This Apple pie baked apple’s recipe will satisfy that craving and have you coming back for more!
It has all of the taste of Thanksgiving Day traditional Apple pie but without all of the decadence of the dough and the pie crust.
So you are allowed to indulge in this Apple pie recipe and adjust it to your preference and dietary needs.
Doctor Greger, a strong advocate of the whole food plant based diet and author of the book HOW NOT TO DIE, suggests a daily intake of spices. This recipe is packed with healthy spices like cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves!
Below I have a recipe for a serving of 2. Double or triple the recipe to make more servings because it will get gobbled up quickly.
INGREDIENTS
2 apples
1 tbs brown sugar
½ tsp cinnamon
⅛ tsp nutmeg
1/8 tsp cloves
Generous squeeze of fresh lemon
Salt
1/4 c walnuts
1/4 c raisins
1 tsp vanilla
2 pats butter (optional)
HOW TO MAKE APPLE PIE BAKED APPLES
- Peel apples
- Dice apples
- Place in pyrex dish or pie pan
- Add all the ingredients above
- Mix well
- Bake at 3:50 for 15 minutes
- Check and turn over
- Bake 15 more minutes
- Enjoy!
