This recipe inspired by Chef Max Mariola makes you feel like you’re in a gourmet restaurant in Italy 🇮🇹
INGREDIENTS
- Pasta, linguini
- 4 cloves garlic
- 2-3 pepperoncini, hot peppers 🌶
- olive oil
- parmesan cheese
- basil
- oregano
- salt and pepper
***(I used non spicy peppers and pepper flakes because I don’t like food that’s too spicy) Do what’s right for you:)
As with any pasta recipe, use the highest quality olive oil you can. I purchased mine on a recent trip to Rome, but Costco has a decent brand and a good price.
Garlic is a key ingredient in this recipe. Use fresh garlic if you have it.
METHOD
- Saute garlic and pepper in a generous amount of olive oil in a pan
- Add basil, oregano
- Remove with strained spoon and set aside
- Cook pasta al dente
- Add a ladel full of pasta water to your olive oil pan
- Add cooked pasta
- Add pepper, garlic and herbs back in
- Add grated parmesan cheese
- Season to taste
I served my pasta in a bed of pesto which adds color and creates a sexy presentation. It also adds a pop to the flavor.
